plant on processing liquid radio-active wastes
Plant on processing liquid radio-active wastes (PPLRAW) is intended
for processing liquid radio-active wastes, both of those accumulated
during the Chernobyl nuclear power plant operation and those formed
in the process of the plant putting out of operation, as well as of
liquid radio-active wastes, forming in the process of the “Ukrytie”
object operation. PPLRAW is calculated to process liquid radio-active
wastes during 10-year operation period. Its minimal planned produc-tion capacity equals to 2 500 cubic meters of non-processed liquid
radio-active wastes per year.
depository of used nuclear fuel -2
The construction of the Depository of used nuclear fuel -2 (DUNF-2)
is financed out of proceeds of the Nuclear Safety Account of the
European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The
DUNF-2 object is intended for the intake, preparation for storage and
storage of used fuel assemblies and used complementary poisons,
kept at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. The DUNF-2 is calculated
to provide intake, preparation for storage and storage of more than
21 000 of RBMK-1000 used fuel assemblies during 100 years; its pro-duction capacity equals to 2 500 used fuel assemblies per year.
industrial and heating boiler house
Industrial and heating boiler house (IHBH) is intended for the heat
supply to the site objects after the power-generating units final stop-page, and for the production of hot water and steam, which are nec-essary for the operation: of objects, intended for treating nuclear fuel
wastes and radio-active wastes; of the equipment and systems, still
remaining in operation, as well as of technological and administra-tive buildings.
industrial complex on treating solid radio-active wastes
Industrial complex on treating solid radio-active wastes (ICTSRAW)
consists of three objects, intended for treating solid radio-active
wastes and united within the framework of a single closed techno-logical process. Namely, the ICTSRAW is intended for intake, process-ing and/or entombment of solid radio-active wastes, both of those
accumulated during the Chernobyl nuclear power plant operation, and
those formed in the process of the plant putting out of operation, as
well as of radio-active wastes, forming in the process of the “Ukrytie”
object operation.
